Hastelloy C22 as compared to Hastelloy C276 has higher chromium content which gives it better resistance in wet corrosion environment. It also helps to resist oxidation, carburization and sulfidation. It provides exceptional resistance to crevice, pitting and stress corrosion and intergranular attack at elevated temperatures. It exhibits superior weldability and resists the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone.
